Leeds fans will be delighted to hear that investment group QSI are close to a breakthrough as they look to complete their takeover of the Yorkshire club.

According to the MOT Leeds News, a source close to QSI has stated that talks with the club are progressing and that a breakthrough is on the cards. There is now real potential of a deal happening.

It is no surprise that Leeds are attracting potential buyers, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side flying high in the league, as a return to the Premier League looks like a real possibility. The Whites were relegated from the Premier League in 2004 and have endured a 15-year absence, but the scintillating football on display so far this season has left many fans confident this can finally be their year to return to the top flight.

TIF Tactics:

Leeds are a huge club, who already have the infrastructure in place for a return to the Premier League, so Radrizzani may well want to wait until the end of the season before deciding on a final selling price. If Bielsa’s side do earn promotion, then you suspect that QSI will be forced to pay an inflated price in order to secure the club.

The Whites, who currently sit second in the Championship, have averaged over 35,000 fans at their home games so far this season and you can only imagine that number increasing should they be playing Premier League next season. QSI have reportedly suggested that they could take Leeds to a similar level to Manchester City should they complete a takeover of the club, so fans have every right to be excited about a potential deal being done.
