Sunderland played their last game of November this week. Despite having the home advantage, Sunderland lost 2-1 to Burton. Phil Parkinson will be shaking his head, questioning what he can do to get the team winning.
But with the January transfer window looming, fans question whether or not he is the right man to take them into 2020. Sunderland fan account Roker Report asked fans if they would trust the manager during the window. The response was an overwhelming ‘no’. The time to act is now.
I wouldn’t trust him with 1 pound

Should never have been appointed. On a par with Grayson. Cut our losses and get rid of him now. I wouldn’t trust him to make tea, never mind spend money on players. Take Coton with him. Donald has to admit he’s made a big mistake

Surely Stewart can’t jeopardise giving the money to Phil if he can’t get anything out of the squad he has got. they aren’t playing for him at all in my eyes. passing the ball around at the end. shambles

Would you trust Parkinson during the window?
Would you trust Parkinson to spend money in January?
Yes
No
One fan suggests that if they do wait until January, Sunderland will be fighting a relegation battle. Others suggest that there will be no money to spend anyway.
If we wait until January, we’ll be in a relegation battle, and not that’s not an exaggeration. He has to go now.

There won’t be any money man! Haha. Donald and Methven are playing every single fan, if you think they are going to go and throw away a few million quid in January your sorely mistaken. If we get anyone it’ll be a loan

What do we think?
Parkinson can’t seem to find a winning formula right now. Sunderland’s ownership must question his ability to lead the team forward. But if they do replace him, they will want to do so as soon as possible. The January transfer window might be their only chance at saving their season.
