This week, Rangers Football Club shared on Twitter that Jordan Jones was back in training. The winger was injured during the last Old Firm loss back in September (Daily Record). Despite his absence Rangers have continued to win. Since that loss, the Light Blues have won 11, drawn two and lost just one (WhoScored.com).
That hasn’t stopped Rangers fans from eagerly anticipating his return though. With the wings being an area for potential improvement, Jones has a serious opportunity to push his way into Steven Gerrard’s starting 11. Supporters are excited about the potential of Jones and Ryan Kent playing on opposite sides of the park.
They think that their pace could cause real problems for opposition defences. One fan even insinuates that the duo could be a better partnership then Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Jones and Kent, serious pace, could cause carnage.

This fan already has an idea of who he would like to see dropped from the starting 11. He thinks Jones would walk into the team ahead of Sheyi Ojo.

What do we think?
The return of Jones is a massive boost to Gerrard. Whether or not he decides to start the winner right away or not is yet to be determined. It is clear from these fan reactions that they, however, are ready for him to play.
