It was an all-around great team performance from Steven Gerrard’s men last night as Rangers beat Porto 2-0 at Ibrox. For the most part, every player did their job well, but there was one player who didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by Rangers fans.

Brandon Barker started the match but was subbed off in the 65th minute for Scott Arfield, who came on and made much more of an impact (WhoScored.com). And while fans were thrilled with the result, others were still willing to share their thoughts on the Manchester City Academy graduate.

When he eventually came off, fans were thrilled. They claimed he was ineffective and suggested that it was like playing with a man down when he was on the field.

What do we think?

At the end of the day, Rangers were able to overcome Porto at the end of the 90-minute match. But Barker’s poor performance was not ignored by the fans. Perhaps it was noticed by Gerrard as well? We will see on the weekend when Rangers play Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.
