Rangers fans celebrated a hard-fought point against Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League. While the Gers were in touching distance of automatic qualification being a goal up thanks to Alfredo Morelos, the Dutch side equalised in the 68th minute. Steven Gerrard’s side controls their own fate in the competition heading into the last match of the group stage.
But while fans were celebrating the result, they weren’t willing to let the players take their eyes off the prize. After captain James Tavernier tweeted out to thank the fans for their journey, many supporters encouraged him to keep the team focused for their next game against Young Boys. They also reminded him to help carry the team through a tricky December period.
Don’t take the eye off the day job if you want to be a 55 legend! Well played tonight

Do you think Rangers can go undefeated in December?
Yes
No
They plead with Tavernier to sort out the silly mistakes at the back. If he can, this fan thinks the club will win a trophy this season. One fan even calls the captain the club’s joint most important player, along with Alfredo Morelos.
Sort it out at the back and cut out the silly errors and we have a chance of winning some silverware

Folk will shout for your head when things go wrong cause it’s easy thing to do. But by god you are our most important player with Morelos.

What do we think?
Tavernier, who is valued at £5.4 million (Transfermarkt), won’t just need the fans encouragement to keep his team focused. If he can lead the group to a domestic or European trophy as captain, he will surely go down as a legend in the club’s folklore. But for now, he must take it one game at a time.
