Some Manchester United fans are not too confident about the club’s Carabao Cup fifth-round draw at home to Colchester United.
The draw pitted United against the Oysters, while Manchester City have been drawn against Oxford United. Liverpool will face Aston Villa and Leicester City will come up against Everton.
Colchester have ousted both Tottenham and Crystal Palace in the previous rounds of the competition, as well as beating Crawley Town in the fourth round earlier this week. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have beaten Rochdale and Chelsea.
Despite having beaten the Blues at Stamford Bridge, some of the Old Trafford faithful are anxious about the draw with Colchester.

Let’s not underestimate them and end up like Spurs

Spurs and Palace thought they would win and look what happened! Be worried

Not bad but we will have to take them seriously, they could be dangerous.

Currently in League Two, Colchester find themselves at the ninth position in the league. Before beating Crawley in the cup, they managed to overcome the challenge of Newport County in the league.
The Essex-based club have won just two of their last five league games, beating Stevenage at home earlier this month.
Reaching the quarter-finals of the League Cup is the highest that the club has come in the competition since the 1999-2000 season. The furthest they came in the competition was the third round in the 2004-05 season, when they lost to Southampton in the same round.
Some United fans though, seem confident about the draw. They feel that United will beat the London side easily.

Last season, United got knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the third round of the competition. It was Frank Lampard’s Derby County who ousted them on penalties.
The Red Devils won the title back in the 2016-17 season, which was Jose Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.
What do we think?
Playing at home, Manchester United have a huge advantage. Spurs did struggle against Colchester but they played away from home. United should not take the game lightly though, as their opponents will be encouraged by how they knocked out Palace and Spurs.
Expect it to be a close game, however United should go through and make it to the last four of the competition.
