Some Liverpool fans have been expressing their delight on Twitter with Sadio Mane’s goal in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Premier League Champions Manchester City.
This praise comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @TheRedmenTV shared a post on their official page of a video of Mane’s goal from a wonderful Jordan Henderson cross to put the Reds three goals to the good in the second half.
This post then gathered a number of replies from overjoyed Liverpool fans showing their appreciation for the goal.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans loving Mane’s goal:

Mane’s goal looked to have put the game to bed for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but a late consolation goal from Bernardo Silva gave the visitors a small slice of hope in the latter stages. But it was too little too late from the Champions who yet again failed to win three points at Anfield.
In the run-up to the Anfield showdown, City boss labelled Mane as a diver, but after the win on Sunday, some Liverpool fans were quick to note how the winger scored his goal with a diving header.
Mane scoring a “diving” header in the same week Pep Guardiola accuses him of being a “diver” isn’t being talking about enough #PepGuardiola #LiverpoolManCity

Mane actually scored a diving header against man city…Honestly couldn’t write it. I reckon Pep will be losing his mind over that for weeks. pic.twitter.com/wHLka9NLM9

What do we think?
Mane’s goal was a special one, not just with the cross assist from Henderson, but the finish past Claudio Bravo in the City net was superb. The Senegalese, who is currently valued at a huge £108 million, according to Transfermarkt, has been one of Liverpool’s top performers so far this season.
In 17 appearances in all competitions, Mane has scored 11 goals and made five assists (per Transfermarkt).
