Liverpool fans on Twitter have been gushing over Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after he scored his first England goal as a Liverpool player in yesterday’s 7-0 win over Montenegro.
This praise came after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post on their page containing images of the midfielder in action for his country last night.
This tweet then led to several Liverpool fans replying to the tweet with their delight for Oxlade-Chamberlain’s goal.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans drooling over Oxlade-Chamberlain after his goal for England:

Yesterday’s goal was Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first England goal since 2017, making it the first goal scored for England as a Liverpool player. The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £31.5 million, according to Transfermarkt, joined the Merseyside club from Arsenal in August 2017 for a fee of £34.2 million (per Transfermarkt).
Two years playing under Jurgen Klopp has seen the midfielder develop at Anfield, despite struggling with injury during his time there. But now with his injury worries behind him, he is now scoring for club and country, the latest coming in Thursday’s 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro.

What do we think?
It was great to see Oxlade-Chamberlain get his goal for England yesterday after not scoring on the international stage over the past couple of years. If he continues on this current goal-scoring run of form he’s on, he could find himself as a regular midfield starter for both Liverpool and England.
