Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight with Dejan Lovren’s performance in their 3-1 win over Premier League Champions Manchester City.
This spout of praise came after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post which included a picture of the defender celebrating the win.
This then led to a lot of Liverpool fans hurrying to show their appreciation for the Croatian’s performance.

Lovren’s Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-1 in a top-of-the-table showdown at Anfield. In the run-up to the match, it was uncertain who would partner Virgil van Dijk in defence with his usual first-choice partner Joel Matip out injured. But manager Jurgen Klopp decided to play Lovren in this crucial win, which has seen the Reds go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

While Lovren has had his fair share of bad games for the Merseyside club, Sunday’s match against City showed just what the 30-year-old is capable of, putting in a big performance when he needs to.
