Chelsea fans on Twitter have been pleading for Willian to not be given a new contract as his current one runs down.
These calls have come after Chelsea fan account @TheBlues shared a post on their page tweeting quotes made from manager Frank Lampard on how he loves having the Brazilian at the club.
This tweet with Lampard’s quotes did not go down well with some Chelsea fans who do not want Willian to sign a new contract.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans not wanting Willian to sign a new contract:

I think it’s time to say goodbye. Been a great servant for the club and really great so far this season but we have some wonderful young players that need to play more

What do we think?
The winger joined Chelsea in 2013 from Anzhi Makhachkala for a fee of £31.95 million (per Transfermarkt). Since then, the Brazilian has gone on to make 307 appearances for the West-London club.
Willian, who is valued at £31.5 million, has been a regular performer in Lampard’s team this season. So far, the Brazilian has made 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring three and assisting three, as well as showing his versatility by playing on both the left and right wings (per Transfermarkt).
Between now and the end of the season, a decision needs to be made on whether or not Willian will continue at the club after his contract runs out.
