Some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations with France manager Didier Deschamps over recent comments he made on Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante’s fitness.
This wave of criticism comes after Chelsea journalist Simon Phillips shared the quotes (echoed by Daily Mail) from the France boss on his Twitter page.
The quote included Deschamps implying that Kante is fit to play for France due to the midfielder’s inclusion in Chelsea’s recent training sessions for their dramatic 4-4 draw over Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Phillips’ tweet of Deschamps quotes then gathered a large number of replies from unhappy Chelsea fans.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans angry with Deschamps:
He seems to forget, that there is a difference to being fit and being match fit Si

Kante has been recovering from multiple injuries since the start of this current season, resulting in the Frenchman only making six appearances for Chelsea in all competitions (per Transfermarkt).
But after the 28-year-old made a return to first-team training this week ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League draw with Ajax, Deschamps’ insinuation of Kante’s fitness then caused a stir with some Chelsea fans.

What do we think?
The Chelsea fans’ frustrations with Deschamps is understandable, as all they want is for Kante to get back to full match fitness and his frequent inclusion in France’s international squad is potentially hindering his final steps of recovery.
In just four Premier League appearances this season, Kante has scored twice, nearly levelling his highest Premier League goal-tally with four goals scored in the 2018/19 season last year under Maurizio Sarri (per Transfermarkt).
