Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to share their congratulations for Trezeguet after he scored his second goal for the club in their 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the weekend.
This praise came after the winger shared a post on his official Twitter page containing a handful of photos from the defeat, including pictures of himself trying to lift up the Villa fans after his goal.
This tweet then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who wanted to share their appreciation for the Egyptian.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans congratulating Trezeguet on his goal at the weekend:
Well done with your goal today, but I didn’t realise you’d scored until the replay was shown. #UTV

Best Villa player on the pitch today, @Trezeguet . Great finish for the goal

The 25-year-old scored his first goal for the Birmingham club in their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, after going nine league games without a goal (per Transfermarkt). He then scored his second Villa goal on Sunday in the closing minutes in the defeat against Birmingham rivals Wolves (BBC Sport), so things are definitely looking up for the winger after a rather slow start to life in the Midlands.
Playing well, look a real threat keep up the good work

What do we think?
It’s good for Trezeguet that he has finally started a goal scoring run of form, but the main issue is that Villa have lost both of the games he’s scored in. Dean Smith’s side currently sit in 17th place just above the relegation zone after losing their previous three league matches (BBC Sport), so improvements are required.
