Aston Villa fans have expressed their love and recognition for current manager Dean Smith on Twitter.
This comes after the official Aston Villa Twitter account shared a post that included a Gif of the manager with the caption “This is a Dean Smith appreciation post”.
The tweet then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their own appreciation messages for Smith.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans showing their love for Smith:
Since joining last season Dean has evolved Villa’s game tremendously. It’s exciting to watch. It’s even better that Dean supported Villa before joining so it means that much more. When the time comes I’ll be sad to part ways but for now… In Deano We Trust!#UTV

What a guy

Smith took over at the Birmingham club in October 2018. Since then, he has pushed Villa to promotion back to the Premier League, where they currently sit in 16th place. Despite having lost their previous two League games against Manchester City and Liverpool, the Villa fans are still happy with Smith’s management of the club.
….and fully received & appreciated.
Love the guy.
Passionate about what he does, regardless if it is the club he loves. He has somewhat saved our club, along with he owners and the rest of the staff involved.
In #DeanSmith we trust.#UTV #PartOfThePride #AVFC

What do we think?
Smith has been a big hit at Villa since his arrival last year. In 52 matches in charge of the newly-promoted club, they have picked up an average of 1.73 points per match (per Transfermarkt). This recent appreciation post on Twitter and all the positive replies to it proves just how well-liked Smith is at Villa right now.
A win against Villa’s local rivals Wolves would surely heighten the praise.
