This comes after the official Aston Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page announcing the news of Smith’s new contract keeping him at the club for another four years.

Smith’s contract will see the Villa manager stay on in charge of the club until 2023. The 48-year-old took over at Villa Park back in October 2018, since then, Smith has managed 54 games for Villa picking up a points per match average of 1.72 (per Transfermarkt).
