Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to express their concerns over Tyrone Mings’ shaky England performance on Sunday.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @VillaViews_ shared a post on their page sharing their opinions on Mings’ performance saying the defender looked “nervous”.
This post then gathered numerous replies from Villa fans who were quick to agree with the page’s assessment of the centre-back.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans criticising Mings on his England display:
He’s been distinctly average, and culpable for four soft goals conceded by Villa, since his first England call up. Starting to believe his own hype?

Agreed, defo looks nervy and has made some dodgy passes

Struggling today

The 26-year-old made his international debut in England’s 6-0 thrashing of Bulgaria last month. But in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Kosovo, some Villa fans thought Mings did not have a great performance despite keeping a clean sheet in the 90 minutes he played in.
Think his form has dipped a bit since first call up

Struggling big time tonight, hope this is not the sign of things to come. Doing himself no favours with Southgate atm

Sloppy

What do we think?
Mings, who is currently valued at £16.2 million, according to Transfermarkt, in the Kosovo match, earned himself a match rating of 6.9, the third-lowest of any England player ahead of Fikayo Tomori (6.2) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (6.6) according to WhoScored.
After this display, it’s understandable why some Villa fans are concerned with Mings’ performance given that Villa need to get some wins under their belt to move away from the relegation zone. They currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League table and any nervous performances from Mings in the claret and blue certainly won’t help.
