This term, Sanderson has featured in eight Premier League 2 games in the club’s youth set up, registering one assist in those outings (per Transfermarkt).
Having been stationed on the first-team bench for both legs of the Europa League qualifiers against Crusaders and the victory over Reading in the previous round of the Carabao Cup, Nuno Espirito Santo gave the 19-year-old his first start on Wednesday night.
With supporters interested to see how their youngster would fair, despite defeat against the Villans, many were delighted with Sanderson’s showing.

What do we think?
The Carabao Cup offered Nuno Espirito Santo the perfect opportunity to blood youngsters against Premier League opposition, whilst simultaneously giving a number of first-team members a much-needed rest (per The Guardian).
Having picked up a 6/10 for his performance (as per Express and Star), Sanderson delivered a solid, sturdy display and with a busy Wolves fixture list, there could be more on the way.
