Wolves supporters have breathed a sigh of relief after Tim Spiers relayed an update on Nuno Espirito Santo amid reported Arsenal interest.
In the last few days, the Old Gold’s Portuguese boss had been linked with a move away from Molineux, with Arsenal angling for him as a replacement for Unai Emery (via Daily Mail).
However, the Athletic reporter on the Molineux club was on hand to pour cold water on the potential rumours (via Tim Spiers), much to the delight of Wolves fans.
Denials from multiple sources about there being any substance (yet) in the Nuno/Arsenal links.
That’s not to say the Gunners aren’t interested. It would be a more of a surprise if they weren’t, given Nuno’s continued success.
His pre-match presser is at 6.30pm this evening.

Great. No Substance like we all know.
And the YET is because if Emery does leave, Nuno will be wanted but he still ain’t going to go.
Let’s nip this in the bud.

Would Nuno take the Arsenal job if offered it?
Yes
No
Nuno Espirito Santo has been at the helm of the Old Gold since the former Porto boss was appointed by the club in the summer of 2017 (as per BBC).
In 123 matches at the helm of the midlands club, the Portuguese manager has guided Wolves to promotion from the Championship and then Europa League qualification in their first season back in the top division (via Transfermarkt).
With the club on the brink of qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League (per The Telegraph), fans were desperate for the 45-year-old to stay.

I can’t see him going anywhere other than the Portugal national team, or maybe Barca, Real or Juve. He’s got a good thing at #wwfc and he knows it.

At this moment of time arsenal can’t offer him anything that we can’t it would be a massive sideward step if he was to go to arsenal

What do we think?
Espirito Santo is working wonders with the Old Gold, as they are currently doing well in the Europa League and are flying high in the Premier League in fifth spot (as per BBC).
Both Wolves and the Portuguese manager are on to a good thing with one another and it may be best for both that they stick together.
