Winston Reid played 46 minutes in New Zealand’s match against the Republic of Ireland, in which the Kiwis lost 3-1.
Many of the West Ham fans were happy to see Reid back in action after suffering a knee injury back in March 2018. The 31-year-old was substituted in the 46th minute with the score being 1-1 at that point, however, after leaving the field New Zealand went on to concede two more and eventually lost 3-1.
We need him back!

Get him back safely so that he can play in the Spurs match. Can’t do any worse than the current players.

What Do We Think?
It’s good to see Winston Reid playing again and hopefully, he can now start getting some minutes for West Ham this season. The 31-year-old now just needs to keep fit and avoid injuries, doing that will likely get him into Manuel Pellegrini’s side as soon as possible.
Prior to the horrific injury he suffered in 2018, Reid had an excellent campaign for the Hammers in 2016/17 as he managed to achieve 1.1 tackles, 2.7 interceptions and 8.1 clearances (WhoScored), so perhaps it will be a good thing for the Chilean to finally be able to call upon him.
