These West Ham United fans have reacted to Lucas Perez’s amazing La Liga form, now the Spaniard is currently plying his trade for Deportivo Alaves.
The former Arsenal and West Ham striker has now scored seven goals in just 13 LaLiga matches, making him the fourth-highest goalscorer in the league, which is higher than Barcelona’s Luis Suarez.
The 31-year-old scored three goals in 15 Premier League games for the Irons, however, he only made it into the starting XI four times.
His recent goalscoring exploits have left those at the London Stadium wondering just exactly what had gone wrong and scratching their heads as to how the club had made him appear worse than he actually is.

How do we do it?! Every time we get a talented player and they become worrying average or less when they play for us!

When he had a chance in front of goal he usually finished it.

These strikers are not that bad that we have had, we just never play a system that suits them, we play 1 up top with no support, very few top strikers in the world play well with 1 up top!!

Perez has scored seven goals in his last seven matches while also getting two assists, so it’s easy to see why these West Ham fans would be disappointed in their team’s decision to let the Spaniard leave.

What Do We Think?
The fans should remember that La Liga is a very different competition compared to the Premier League, meaning just because Perez is scoring bucket loads in Spain, doesn’t mean he would have done that this season.
However, we do believe that the 31-year-old would have been a better option on the bench than Albian Ajeti, with the Swiss striker failing to do anything noteworthy so far this season, although he has only played 91 minutes of Premier League football, he is yet to make a difference as he has failed to score or assist during those outings.
