West Ham United are said to be willing to listen to offers for Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez during the January transfer window.

The 33-year-old joined the Hammers in August 2018 but has only managed 13 appearances for the club due to a long-term knee injury suffered during a fixture versus Macclesfield.

A source close to the club has revealed: “Obviously we would be ready to listen to offers for Carlos given he is coming to the end of his deal”.

Sanchez has represented his country at five major tournaments including two World Cup Final’s and has had spells at Espanyol, Fiorentina and Aston Villa.

TIF Tactics – What is Sanchez worth?

The tenacious midfielder has only managed three brief appearances in the Premier League this season and has featured twice in the Carabao Cup.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Sanchez is valued at £1.35m but given the player’s age and recent injury record, it seems unlikely West Ham would be able to command such a fee.

The player’s contract is due to expire at the end of this current campaign meaning he would be able to move on for free. Given the player doesn’t feature in Pellegrini’s plans, if an offer was to come in for the Colombian, it would make sense to consider it, even if the fee on the table is significantly less than the aforementioned value.
