Spurs fans were treated to a photo of Harry Winks from England team-mate and Leicester defender Ben Chilwell after his goal against Kosovo on Sunday and now fans are hopeful that the Spurs midfielder can work his magic and convince Chilwell to sign for the club.

The photo, which was posted by the Leicester left-back on his Instagram story (via DailyHotspur) shows Winks smiling on the plane back from Kosovo, with the caption: absolute baller. This is inspired a lot of hope in Spurs fans in that their club could sign the 22-year-old in January thanks in part to the friendship he clearly has with Winks.

Chilwell, who is valued at £31.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has made an excellent start to the season with the high-flying Foxes; averaging a 7.16 rating so far in the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers. The young defender followed that up with two extremely impressive displays during the international break and earned the man-of-the-match award for his 10/10 performance against Montenegro, with many Spurs fans now keen on bringing the Leicester man to the club in the near future.

Reaction from Spurs fans to Chilwell’s photo can be seen in the tweets below.

Spurs fans are clearly keen on Chilwell and will be hoping that ‘Agent Winks’ can convince him to join him at the North London club.

What do we think?

It is difficult to see any player wanting to leave Leicester considering their current form but Chilwell could be a long-term solution at Spurs with Danny Rose planning to run down his contract. He would no doubt provide Harry Kane with a goalscoring boost thanks to his strong set-piece taking ability; as evidenced by his hat-trick of assists in England’s win over Montenegro.
