Spurs fans were full of praise for midfielder Dele Alli on Twitter after his excellent performance in their 3-2 win over West Ham.
Alli, who signed from MK Dons in 2015, provided the assist for the opening goal and was instrumental in Spurs’ second, as he flicked the ball into Heung-Min Son’s path despite being on the floor.
The 23-year-old had struggled under Mauricio Pochettino this season but has made a promising start under Jose Mourinho; earning a 7.54 rating for his display at the London Stadium.
The England international has generally been very impressive in his four years at the North London club; with 55 goals and 51 assists in 195 appearances for Spurs. If his first game under Mourinho is anything to go by, then Alli may be able to rediscover some of the form which he has shown in previous seasons.
Reaction from Spurs fans to Alli’s performance and impressive flick against West Ham can be seen in the tweets below.

He’s had a rough couple of years with injuries and not being match fit bit in recent weeks we’ve started to see him show glimpses again. Yesterday he was the best player on the park. Still crazy that some people don’t rate him has everything to be a top player AGAIN.

Spurs fans clearly enjoyed Alli’s skill against West Ham and will be hoping that the 23-year-old can continue his form ahead of their Champions League game against Olympiakos on Tuesday night.
What do we think?
Alli has struggled with injury at times this season but looks like he could be nearly back to his best after a strong opening display under the new boss. He is still just 23, so has a lot of potential still to fulfil and could be key to the rest of Spurs’ season, as they look to move back up the Premier League table.
