Spurs fans were treated to a video showing new manager Jose Mourinho embracing Heung-Min Son and now fans are confident that the Portuguese boss can get the best out of him.

The video shows Son and Mourinho hugging in a training session in what was probably one of their first meetings since the 56-year-old was appointed early on Wednesday. Son, who signed for Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has established himself as a fan favourite during his four years with the club; scoring 75 goals in 203 appearances.

Spurs fans are now hopeful that Mourinho can help Son improve his already impressive form as they look to move back up the Premier League table following a dreadful start. The South Korean winger will no doubt be a vital part of Mourinho’s squad and will want to make a positive start against West Ham on Saturday.

Reaction from Spurs fans to the video can be seen in the tweets below.

Spurs fans were clearly delighted with the video and feel that Son could go on to become an even better player under Mourinho.

What do we think?

Son has made an excellent start to the season and was one of few players to maintain standards under Mauricio Pochettino; with eight goals for Spurs already this season. Mourinho will certainly be looking to the South Korean to be a key player in his new squad and will be hoping that the 27-year-old can continue his electric form in the Champions League, as Spurs look to secure progression into the knockout rounds.
