Spurs fans were seemingly very impressed with their new assistant manager Joao Sacramento following their 3-2 win over West Ham on Saturday, with many fans labelling the 30-year-old as a potential future manager.
Sacramento has plenty of experience in football despite his age, most recently with the likes of Lille and Monaco. Both he and Mourinho were extremely active on the sidelines during Spurs’ impressive display at the London Stadium, with more and more Spurs fans warming to the new Portuguese management team.
Mourinho may have only been appointed Spurs boss next week, but Sacramento’s passion, knowledge, and age all seem to be convincing a lot of Spurs fans that he should be considered for the job when Mourinho leaves.
Reaction from Spurs fans to seeing Sacramento on the sideline for the first time can be seen in the tweets below.
The long term successor….got to be….at 29 and as talented as he is, we’d be foolish not to at least look when its time….#COYS

He eventually becomes the successor if this goes well, IMO.

I think he is the key to all of this rather than Jose

Glad to hear, was really surprised when I found out we had an unknown, 29 year old for coach.

Was sitting behind them both, yes he was very proactive and direct

Spurs fans were clearly impressed by Sacramento’s actions in the win over West Ham and will be hoping that the young assistant continues to impress in the new set-up at the North London club.
What do we think?
It is very early to be thinking about Mourinho’s successor at Spurs although Sacramento has already built up an impressive reputation and at just 30 could be the ideal long-term replacement for Mourinho should they continue to do well.
But, as was just stated, it’s the beginning of Jose Mourniho’s reign, so all eyes on him.
