Spurs fans were over the moon to hear that current owners ENIC could be looking to sell the club in the near future, as they feel that the appointment of a world-class manager along with other factors could make the club a very attractive proposition for any potential buyers.
ENIC became majority shareholders of the club in 2001, taking over from Alan Sugar but their 18-year spell at the club could soon be coming to an end and it seems like the vast majority of Spurs fans are delighted. According to ESPN (via HotspurRelated), the appointment of Jose Mourinho on Wednesday morning may have been part of a larger plan to sell the club.
Apparently, the owners feel that the new stadium, regular Champions League football, Mourinho and their position in London means that a lot of buyers could be interested in Spurs, although they would presumably be looking to make more than the £22 million they paid to acquire the club in 2001.
Reaction from Spurs fans to the news that ENIC could be set to leave can be seen in the tweets below.

Spurs fans are clearly excited by the potential exit of ENIC and seemingly want their current owners out of the club as soon as possible.
What do we think?
Daniel Levy has certainly been a controversial figure during his time at the club and caused even more controversy with the sacking of Pochettino on Tuesday evening.
However, Spurs fans are clearly delighted that the appointment of Mourinho may have been part of a bigger plan to sell the club, which makes it seem like there are some exciting times ahead for the club both on and off the pitch.
