Lots of Spurs fans have been singing the praises of Ajax manager Erik ten Hag on Twitter, with many fans hoping to see the Dutch coach replace Mauricio Pochettino at the North London club.

In a post from HotspurEdition showing four top managers who could feasibly take over at Spurs should Pochettino leave, lots of fans seem to be keen on the young Ajax boss. Ten Hag took over at Ajax in January 2018 and enjoyed a fabulous season with the club last year, winning the Eredivisie and narrowly missing out on a Champions League final spot.

With Spurs currently struggling in the league, many fans want Pochettino to leave and Ten Hag is seen by a lot of Spurs followers as the man to take the reigns. Pochettino has been with the club since 2014 and has helped to progress the club in that time, but after defeat to Liverpool in the 2019 Champions League final things have gone seriously downhill for the North London club.

Spurs are languishing in 14th and are without an away win in the league since January and another disappointing draw against Sheffield United on Saturday has led many Spurs fans to start considering who their new boss could be. Spurs fans thoughts on Ten Hag and why he could be the man to replace Pochettino can be seen in the tweets below:

It seems as if a lot of Spurs fans are keen on Ten Hag and would love to see the Dutch manager make the move to the Premier League should Pochettino leave in the near future.

What do we think?

Ten Hag has proved himself as a super coach with Ajax; perhaps demonstrated best by their incredible wins over Real Madrid and Juventus last season. The 49-year-old boss has established himself with the Eredivisie champions but has no Premier League experience, so it could be a risky move should Daniel Levy opt to appoint him as Pochettino’s potential replacement.

However, Pochettino’s contract is set to run until 2023, so it would be a surprise to see the Argentinian leave the club anytime soon.
