Spurs fans are becoming more and more disgruntled by the situation of Jack Clarke, with the 18-year-old yet to feature in the league for Leeds this season after rejoining the Championship club on loan.

Clarke, is valued at £5.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), rejoined Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the hope of getting regular game-time in the second division. The young winger scored twice for Leeds last season and did enough to impress Mauricio Pochettino but it seems as if the Englishman is no longer in Bielsa’s plans as they challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

Clarke’s only senior appearances this season have come in the Carabao Cup with no Championship minutes under his belt, so a recall could be in the offing. Nottingham Forest are reportedly (as per Sporting Life, via Nottingham Post) amongst the clubs interested in the 18-year-old, so a new Championship club seems the most likely option.

Reaction from Spurs fans to Clarke’s lack of minutes and a possible return to the Premier League club can be seen in the tweets below.

Some Spurs fans are clearly unhappy with Clarke’s current loan situation, with a number of supporters calling for him to return in January.

What do we think?

It seems clear that Clarke is unable to force his way into Bielsa’s plans at Leeds and a new loan club would surely be the best situation for both Spurs and Clarke to try and aid his development. Lots of Leeds fans feel as if Clarke has never been the same since his injury last season but if he can find regular game-time at another club then he may yet still prove a shrewd signing by Spurs.
