Some Norwich City fans are unhappy with Daniel Farke’s comments about the club’s loss away to Brighton this weekend.

A week after their 3-1 loss to Manchester United, Norwich slumped to a 2-0 defeat to the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium (Sky Sports). Second-half goals from Leandro Trossard and Shane Duffy saw them suffer another defeat in the Premier League.

After the game in the south of the country, Canaries boss Farke told the club’s official website: “We won’t raise the white flag. We’re not too far away from getting good results, it’s about fine margins.”

This left some Norwich fans unhappy, as they didn’t feel that things are going too well currently.

The club is currently languishing at 19th in the Premier League, as it looks to survive the drop right after earning promotion from the Championship this past summer. They are currently four points adrift of 17th placed Everton.

This was their fifth league defeat in as many as six league games and the last time Farke’s men won a game was back in August against Manchester City at Carrow Road.

Since then, they are yet to win and have let in as many as 14 goals in just six outings – a stat that won’t be too likeable for the club and their fans.

Indeed, some fans feel that there are some adjustments that the club needs to make to get back to winning ways.

Teemu Pukki has been the club’s scorer this season, having found the back of the net six times so far. But the Finland international is yet to score in the league since he came up with an impressive performance in the game against the Champions, City.

During this turbulent phase, the Canaries have scored only two goals; one against Manchester United and one against Aston Villa in the 5-1 defeat.

What do we think?

While goalscoring is a problem, the club is lacking severely defensively. They have conceded the second-highest number of goals in the league- 26. They are only one behind Southampton, who allowed nine goals against Leicester City recently.

There is a need for some defensive signings in the January transfer window and that will help them achieve survival this season.
