Manchester United fans are excited about the prospect of seeing academy prospect James Garner start in midfield against Astana in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already progressed from Group L so many fans are expecting a young side travel to the Kazakhstan capital to face the side bottom of the group. One man who is seriously exciting fans is James Garner, an academy prospect who first made his debut for United in a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace last season.
18-year-old Garner has hit five goals in five games in the Premier League 2 this season, demonstrating his ability to score goals from midfield. With United struggling in the league and seemingly reliant on Marcus Rashford for goals, a goal-scoring midfielder could be exactly what they need, so fans are no doubt excited to see Garner in action for the first-team on Thursday.

United fans are clearly excited about the prospect of seeing Garner start against Astana on Thursday and will be hoping that the 18-year-old lives up to his hype.
What do we think?
United look desperate for a goal-scoring dynamic midfielder and Garner could well be the answer to their problems. If the 18-year-old impresses against Astana on Thursday then it won’t be a surprise to see him feature more regularly under Solksjaer in the Premier League.
