Manchester City youngster Phil Foden is widely regarded as one of English football’s brightest young talents and is already a fan favourite at the Etihad Stadium. The 19-year-old is having to be patient due to the abundance of attacking talent Pep Guardiola has at his disposal but despite the lack of game-time, the midfielder couldn’t be under a better coach in terms of his footballing education.
Training on a daily basis with the likes of David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva means the young man, who is still learning his trade, can learn from some of the very best in the business – although one supporter appears to believe he is better than the aforementioned Spanish Silva.
Ideally, he would like to play more but his recent cameo has convinced the fans he’s developing well and prompted them to leave words of encouragement in reply to his latest tweet.

What do we think?
Foden is a mercurial talent; add to that he’s a local lad who has supported the club since he was a boy and he’s already earned himself a place in the hearts of the City faithful. David Silva is set to leave the club at the end of the current campaign and that, in theory, should clear the way for more game time for Foden who has had to bide his time so far. The talent is clear for all to see, fingers crossed the environment is right and he can go on and reach his full potential – a City legend in the making.
