Manchester City starlet Phil Foden has struggled for game time at the Etihad Stadium but it’s not due to a lack of talent on his part.
The 19-year-old, a boyhood supporter of the club, is a fan favourite already and this latest piece of footage to emerge from the training ground has these supporters calling for him to start this weekends game up at Newcastle United.

What do we think?
Foden finds himself in an extremely difficult position. The player’s affiliation with the club since he was a boy will make him reluctant to leave but at some point, he will need to take a step back and assess his position at the Etihad. His progress is being hampered by the pressure on Guardiola to win and the fact there are a number of world-class talents preventing him from securing a starting position most weeks.
The midfielder, who is valued at £27 million (Transfermarkt), is yet to start a Premier League game this season, making five substitute appearances so far and his only goal during this current campaign came in the Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb in October. Despite the supporters desire to see Foden named in the starting eleven this weekend, it seems highly unlikely as they continue to play catch-up with Liverpool.
