Manchester City supporters have begged the club to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker, Erling Haaland.

On Thursday, it was reported that the blue half of Manchester had joined the red half on the hunt to sign the 19-year-old starlet (per Metro).

With the supposed move getting shared to Twitter, many had their say on the link and most wanted to see the Norwegian join the Citizens.

The starlet burst onto the European scene this season, having bagged a whopping 26 goals and six assists in 18 league and cup games for die Mozartstädter (as per Transfermarkt).

Amongst those goals, seven have come in Champions League action across four games, having scored in every game, with a hat-trick against KRC Genk, one against Liverpool and three in two games against Napoli (per Transfermarkt).

With his goalscoring prowess clear, City fans gave the green light to Pep Guardiola and the Citizens hierarchy to go and get the Norwegian.

What do we think?

While it may cost a hefty fee to bring the 19-year-old to the Etihad Stadium, due to Salzburg asking for €100 million (£86m) to secure the services of the man (as per AS).

Goals win games, winning games wins titles and trophies, and Haaland is a player with the potential to score a vast number of goals.

Signing the youngster may be the move which helps tips a first Champions League title the way of the Citizens.
