Liverpool fans were full of praise for Roberto Firmino after the club posted a throwback video of his stunning goal away at Stoke in 2017.
The club showed the Brazilian centre-forward’s volley away at Stoke and fans are loving the technique from the former Hoffenheim man. Both Firmino and Philippe Coutinho came off the bench to score and complete the turnaround at the Bet 365 stadium.
Firmino, who signed from Hoffenheim in 2015, has made 210 appearances for the Reds in his four years at the club; scoring 69 goals in the process. The 28-year-old has become a fan favourite under Jurgen Klopp, helping Liverpool to a Champions League win last season. He has started this season in a similar fashion to the last; averaging a 7.37 rating after three goals and six assists.
Some of the best reactions from Reds fans to Firmino’s goal against Stoke can be seen in the tweets below.
The technique on that shot is one of the best I have seen.

Reds fans clearly loved Firmino’s strike against Stoke and will be hoping for plenty more like that throughout the season.
What do we think?
Firmino, who is valued at £72 million (as per Transfermarkt), has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League in his four years in England, not just for his goalscoring exploits but his impressive link-up with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane; both of whom have benefited from some of the 55 assists Firmino has in a Reds shirt so far. The Brazilian will be hoping to add to the three goals he has in the Premier League when Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace next weekend.
