Some Liverpool have made it clear that they will hate it if Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha ever joined the Anfield based club in the future.
Liverpool did pick up a hard-fought 2-1 win over Roy Hodgson’s Palace at the weekend and it was Zaha himself who had made it 1-1 for the Eagles late in the game. But Roberto Firmino’s 85th-minute winner helped the Reds to another comeback win (BBC).
The win helped Jurgen Klopp’s men stay at the top of the league and remain unbeaten. It was another comeback after they did the same against the likes of Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle. They also got a point from their Manchester United game, after United had been 1-0 up till Adam Lallana’s late equalizer.
A debate on Twitter brewed and it saw Liverpool fans question whether they should have Zaha in their side or not. Some fans hated the idea.

Harry Wilson has more quality than Zaha will ever have. Zaha has been at the same level for years has never improved and can’t hit a barn door

Never do I ever want to see him near my club. They day he signs I will never support the club again and I have been a life long fan in my mid fifties.

Keep him as far away from the club as possible

Not close to being good enough for an elite club

Zaha, who is valued at £49.5 million (Transfermarkt), has played against the Reds 11 times in his career. He has managed to score twice against them, assisting three times.
The goal against Liverpool recently was the former Manchester United man’s first of the season and his first since April. This season, he has played 13 times in the Premier League for the Eagles, scoring once and racking up two assists on the way.
Zaha arrived at Selhurst Park from Manchester United in the winter of 2015 for a fee of £6million.
What do we think?
So far this season, Zaha has completed the highest number of dribbles per game in the Premier League with an average of 4.5. But the fact that he has played only 0.9 key passes shows that there has been inconsistency in his decision making. The fact that he has scored once and has only two assists also shows that.
He was linked with a move to Arsenal this past summer, but reports had stated that the winger was valued at £80m. If Palace still have a similar valuation for him, Liverpool should not sign him considering they need a back-up to Sadio Mane on the left-wing. A back-up should not cost that much and the Reds should only sign him if the Eagles ask for anything around £40m only.
