Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru has been speaking about his clients future on Turkish radio station Radyospor (reported via Sport Witness).

Speaking about the possibility of a transfer, as also covered by Ajanspor, Dogru said: “Of course it’s perfectly normal for him to be involved in transfer speculation after his performances with Leicester City this season.

“However, we have no interest in this discussion. Both club and Caglar are looking to continue with each other. He is only focusing on the remaining of the season.  I have to say, he’s performing well above our expectations. Obviously, we were thinking he will get more playing time this season.

“In his success, I think we can underline the importance of his teammates and the manager.”

TIF Tactics – Life is good at Leicester

The Foxes supporters will be pleased to hear the man they’ve labelled as the ‘Turkish wall’ is happy with life at the King Power Stadium and why wouldn’t he be? Brendan Rodgers’ side are flying high at the top of the Premier League and Soyuncu has formed a formidable partnership with former Manchester United defender Johnny Evans.

Will Soyuncu go on to become a Leicester City legend?

No

Indeed, his figures from WhoScored will back up just how well the Turk has been performing this season. According to the data analysts, Soyuncu has managed to achieve an average of 2.1 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 5.7 clearances in his 13 appearances in the Premier League.

The defender, who is valued at £18 million (as per Transfermarkt), signed for Leicester City from German outfit Freiburg in the summer of 2018 but was said to have attracted interest from a number of other clubs, most notably Arsenal. Fortunately for Rodgers’ side, that rumoured interest never developed into anything more and he now wears the famous blue of Leicester as they mount a serious challenge for the Champions League positions and possibly even the title.
