Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Leicester City midfielder Matty James has returned to full training ahead of the clubs trip to Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend. James didn’t make a single Premier League appearance during last season as a result of an on-going Achilles problem.
Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s fixture the former Liverpool and Celtic boss described the 28-year-old as a “joy to work with”.
Here’s how the club supporters have reacted on social media to the positive news regarding the former Manchester United midfielder.
He’s not good enough for us

He’s a good guy but the club has moved so forward so much since he was last playing regularly. I doubt he will ever work his way back into our team.

Will he even get a chance in our midfield! I don’t think so!!!

Whereas others are just pleased to see the injury-stricken young man on the route back to fitness.
Great to hear Matty James is back

And Rodgers has received praise for his handling of the situation.
Rodgers again showing his excellent man-management in his positive comments about Matty’s recovery and ability.

What do we think?
It remains to be seen whether or not Matty James, who is valued at £1.35 million (by Transfermarkt), can fight his way into Rodgers’ high-flying Leicester City side. His long-term future may well end up being elsewhere but working his way back to match-fitness has to be the player’s priority. All the noises coming out of Leicester City football club would suggest the midfielder has an excellent attitude and despite his recent woes has been a model professional throughout. We wish him the best of fortune in his recovery.
