Everton supporters have reacted with delight to Andre Gomes’ first message to the fans since his injury.
On Wednesday evening, the Portuguese midfielder posted his first message to the Everton faithful, thanking them for their support, following the injury during the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Following the video posted to Gomes’ Twitter account, fans were delighted to see the 26-year-old recovering well.

Following a successful surgery to begin the healing process for Gomes’ fractured and dislocated ankle, the midfielder returned to Finch Farm to continue rehabilitation on Tuesday (per Independent).
With the Portuguese international set for a number of months on the sidelines, many rallied around the 26-year-old with well-wishes.

What do we think?
Following the horror injury to Gomes and the shocking scenes at Goodison Park on Sunday, it is good to see the Portuguese midfielder back at home and on the mend.
Of course, Everton fans will surely be delighted to see their midfield star in good spirits.
