Supporters of Everton have made it clear that they want to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin given more game time.
In the Toffees latest outing, the 2-0 defeat to Norwich City, Cenk Tosun was given the nod to play as the lone striker in Silva’s preferred 4-2-3-1 formation (per Sky Sports).
With the Turkish striker not delivering the goods in terms of goals, picking up a 5/10 (as per Liverpool Echo), supporters wanted to see the 22-year-old Englishman reinstated to the team.
Just play 4 3 3 back five picks itself midfield at the minute of schneiderlan Davis iwobi front 3 dcl keane richy have a string looking bench for the last 20-15 minutes with players who can play when the game isn’t as intense

Yes yes yes! Said similar last season and said it even louder this season. The game we played Iwobi in no.10 we were so fluid going forward. That would give DCL the service he needs, then you can judge him. People writing him off when he gets no service is madness.

Really don’t understand why he was suddenly dropped for a player that we’d seemingly decided was out in the cold? An easy assist and a goal against 10 men? It really boggles like, what is the thinking even short term?

Really don’t understand why some of our fans don’t rate him, I think he’ll be quality when his finishing improves

For me he should start every game.

The 22-year-old striker, who is valued at £18 million (Transfermarkt), has started six games for the Toffees in the Premier League so far this season, making a further five appearances from the bench (as per Transfermarkt).
His last league start came against Burnley in early October, still, the Englishman has bagged five goals in 14 league and cup appearances (via Transfermarkt).
With just 47 minutes to his name across three Premier League games in November, many slammed Marco Silva for his lack of minutes.
It’s mad how he’s dropped Calvert-Lewin he was doing well and starting to score goals

Had a little run of games and scored 5. Then got dropped. Madness

What do we think?
In league and cup, the Englishman has scored a goal, on average, in every 146 minutes of action – with five goals in 14 league and cup outings (per Transfermarkt).
With that record of well over a goal in every two games it does seem strange that he would be dropped in favour of Tosun, who has one goal in six league and cup outings which amass to 247 minutes per goal (per Transfermarkt).
