Everton supporters have reacted furiously following an update from the club’s director of football, Marcel Brands.
The Dutch director of football gave fans an update from behind the scenes at Goodison Park on Friday afternoon in an interview posted to the Toffees’ official Twitter account (as per Everton).
With all eyes on the club’s set-up behind the scenes due to frustration over Marco Silva (per Liverpool Echo), supporters were frustrated with the update from Brands suggesting everyone should ‘stick together’.
To me that means Silva is here for the season at the very least

Six days too late with the statement.
10 months (and counting) too late on the manager

Until we lose the next 3 on the bounce and then sack him anyway

He should have been sacked straight after Norwich

What worries me most about this, apart from the lateness of it, is the ‘sticking together’ bit.
The results & the fans have spoken -we don’t want to stick together on Silva, we want him gone, followed by a statement on how bad the decision was to appoint him with zero pedigree!

Has Marcel Brands' impact with Everton been positive or negative overall?Negative, nothing but chaosPositive, knows what he's doing |
The Toffees currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, four points ahead of Norwich City, who occupy the last spot in the drop zone (as per BBC).
Despite Brands’ rallying cry for supporters to get behind Silva and the team (per Everton), the Goodison Park faithful had one clear message for the Dutchman.
SILVA OUT MARCEL

Sack the manager

The fanbase can’t support this Manager – it’s way past that.

What do we think?
When a manager gets into a situation such as the Portuguese 42-year-old has done in Merseyside, it is near impossible to change fortunes around.
Despite Brands’ call for positivity and unity, that seems a tall order for Everton fans at the moment, and Silva getting the chop seems almost inevitable.
