Everton supporters have argued that Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe is not up to the calibre of manager they should be looking at to replace Marco Silva.
Following the Toffees’ latest defeat in the Premier League, a 2-0 loss at the hands of fellow strugglers Norwich City, speculation of the Portuguese 42-year-old being replaced has been rife.
One of the potential replacements that has been touted is Bournemouth’s gaffer (as per Sky Sports), however, some supporters felt he was not at the required level for the Goodison Park club.
Why are we always interested in a manager that’s done well at a mid table prem club?

I’d rather stick wit silva til the end of the season and get a quality manager in, no one really wants silva but let’s be honest he won’t get us sacked, gettin moyes or howe would just be pointless

Guessing this would be Marcel and Farhad, with Bill still clinging to hope that Moyes will return. What a shambles.

We need a manager who knows how to win. Nice guy, but…….

His team can’t defend either.

Howe’s Cherries side currently sit 11th in the Premier League table, having lost five of their opening 13 league games and shipped 17 goals in the process (as per BBC).
That, however, makes for better reading that the Toffees’ seven lost games in the opening 13 and 20 conceded goals (via BBC).
Despite Bournemouth’s better standing in the league and Howe previously touted as one of England’s best managers (as per Sky Sports), some had other preferences for who should be the new gaffer at Goodison Park.
I say go for Rafa ! non of these have any knowledge about winning teams, just mid to top 10 year in year out. that’s not what we should be looking for. winning mentality brings better results not this shopping in the bargain basement bs. fooking board need a sacking or two too.

It is possible to get a lower ranked manager who is about to be great and not in decline…But it’s a gamble. It’s a gamble anyway. We need a good fit for the club, and someone who has/can build a connection with the club/players/fans ideally.

What do we think?
Despite what the league table may suggest to Everton supporters, Howe has done a fantastic job for Bournemouth considering where he has taken them from (as per These Football Times).
One thing is clear, however, Silva’s days in Merseyside appear to be numbered and whoever will take over will have a huge task ahead of them in the build-up to Christmas (as per BBC).
