Everton striker, Cenk Tosun, is fit for the club’s clash with Norwich following a return from injury.

In Friday’s press conference ahead of the clash with Norwich City, Marco Silva revealed that the Turkish 28-year-old had recovered from a niggling issue (Liverpool Echo).

International duty injury

While the striker had not missed out on any games for the Toffees, this was because the injury was picked up while away on international duty with his country (per Liverpool Echo).

Tosun sustained a groin injury while with Turkey and missed out on their two European Championship qualifiers against Iceland and Andorra.

The injury was revealed by Turkey boss Senol Gunes, who had stated that he would probably only be missing the two games as the injury did not “seem very serious” (as per aa.com).

TiF Tactics – Will he be given a starting spot?

The return from injury for the Turkish striker will give Silva quite the selection headache over who to opt with as his sole striker in the 4-2-3-1.

Everton’s Portuguese manager will just potentially stick with Tosun, who started the Toffees’ last game prior to the international break, the 2-1 victory over Southampton (as per BBC).

However, there has been much speculation surrounding a start for Moise Kean in recent days after the Italian bagged a brace for his country’s Under-21s in their 6-0 victory over Armenia (as per Sky Sports).

Then there is also the option of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Oumar Niasse, the latter of which seems a very unlikely choice.

It will more than likely be Kean or Tosun, with the Turkish striker’s goal in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur the game prior to last potentially swinging the pendulum the 28-year-old’s way.
