Everton supporters have spelt out where they want the club to reinforce during the January transfer window.
On Wednesday morning, The Athletic writer on Everton, Greg O’Keeffe, shared an article in which the Toffees’ director of football, Marcel Brands, explained that he does not like the winter window (as per The Athletic).
However, that did not stop the Goodison Park faithful listing their post-Christmas desires for the Toffees, with many listing centre-back and centre-midfield as number one priorities.
Tbh signing a CB isn’t “fixing” an issue that as just cropped up. We’ve needed another CB since the summer so we need to be in for one imo. Another CM was wanted in the summer and is needed more so now so I think we would be mad to not dip our toes into it

Realistically only need a CB and a CM.
Hopefully Gbamin will be closer by then, depending on where we are come end of year it might not be beneficial to add at that time, generally not much on offer and is it going to effect league position ?

I think we still desperately need a center half, but the improving form of Davies, and talent of Gordon will be enough to get us by until our injured players are fit again.
Holgate has been great alongside mina (our best CB by far) but we need another pacey center back.

An unheard of, average CB to fill a spot on the bench. And that’s all.

Due to Brands’ dislike of the January window, meaning the unlikelihood of money being spent in January, others felt that loan moves were the answer to the Toffees’ problems.
I think a loan or 2 unless players we want to sign become available.

The answer should be loans, surely. The squad does have the players capable of lifting the team, loans would fill gaps until the Summer. The real issue is surely whether the manager has the tactical know how to use players at his disposal?

However, some other Everton fans felt like an attacker was the route the club should take in January and even alluded to a want-away Welsh striker in Madrid.
Could be argued he didn’t fix much in the summer one either. Centre half and centre forward are an absolute must still. Unfair for manager to carry the can for everything.

There is a world class attacking option almost certainly looking for a new club in January. pic.twitter.com/DY4KPTGRpG

What do we think?
So, to get this straight, Everton fans want the club to sign reinforcements in defence, midfield, attack and also Gareth Bale? That certainly clears things up then.
While a loan move for a defender or a midfielder seem the sensible option, it is unlikely that the Welsh wizard will be gracing the Goodison Park turf anytime soon.
