Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery has received untold criticism in recent weeks but it’s no surprise he failed at the club when you take in to account the levels of disrespect displayed by his playing staff during his 18-month spell in North London.
James Olley of the Evening Standard has reported: ‘The players openly mocked Emery’s accent and broken English. They have done for some time, not just in thinly-veiled social media ‘likes’ but by breaking out into various Emery impressions around London Colney’.
Despite the desire amongst the fanbase to see Emery dismissed in recent weeks, these supporters have voiced their disapproval at the actions of these so-called professionals.
The players that participated in this should be ashamed of themselves, no one deserves that.

They should be fully sanctioned. Arsenal FC has always held its values to the highest level, and we’ve lost sight of that, especially the fans and players at times.

classless players.

Disgusting. No need for it. Can’t we have some parliamentary procedure in the place?

Whoever was doing that, they do not deserve to play for Arsenal. No class, no respect, shame on them. They should take a look on themselves and their abysmal performances first, because it wasn’t just Emery.

Should Arsenal players who mocked Emery face disciplinary action?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Regardless of what the playing staff felt regarding Unai Emery’s methods, there is no excuse for being so unprofessional. It has been increasingly evident in recent weeks that there was a clear disconnect between Emery and his playing staff but it appears the disrespect became personal, therefore creating an environment in which it was impossible for the team to succeed.
Emery has been sacked and it’s time for a fresh start but that should not prevent those who were involved from being disciplined internally. The actions of these individuals totally contradict the Arsenal values and such behaviour cannot and should not be tolerated.
