Unai Emery has been sacked after just 18 months in charge. The Gunners are without a victory in seven games in all competitions and it was announced on Friday morning that the Spaniard, along with his coaching team had been dismissed. Freddie Ljungberg will now take care of the first-team as an interim Head Coach until a successor has been identified.
The club’s official statement reads: ‘the decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required’. Whilst the search for his replacement begins behind the scenes, if it hadn’t started already, these fans have had their say on who they would like to see replace the former Paris Saint-Germain boss and one name, in particular, keeps popping up.

Would you take Mauricio Pochettino at Arsenal?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Mauricio Pochettino’s loyalty to Spurs could be tested if the Arsenal were to make an approach for the 47-year-old. During his time at White Hart Lane and Wembley, of course, the Argentine consistently qualified for the Champions League and managed to compete at the very top of the Premier League despite having limited resources.
Therefore, in theory, he sounds like the perfect fit. Although Pochettino failed to deliver any silverware to Tottenham Hotspur during his five years with the club, he did an impressive job and in many ways raised their profile to the level which meant they could go and attract the likes of Jose Mourinho.
