Mesut Ozil returned to the Arsenal team on Wednesday night and having been frozen out for so long showed the Gunners fans exactly what they have been missing. Consistency has been an issue for Ozil in recent seasons but there’s no doubt when he’s on song, the 31-year-old is a wonderful player to watch.
Ahead of the weekend’s action, the clubs official Twitter account shared a memory of one of the German playmaker’s finest moments in the famous red and white of Arsenal and it’s left fans hailing the player as “out of this world”.
Out of this world.

One of the greatest goals in recent history.

But when the clubs social media team originally tweeted out the video they made a huge error, claiming this was a throw-back to 2012 – before Ozil even joined Arsenal and it didn’t go unnoticed!

What do we think?
It’s a welcome reminder of what the German can produce just days after we saw flashes of his brilliant best up at Anfield but there’s a lesson to be learned here, the Arsenal fans don’t miss a trick when it comes to social media. They will be hoping to see more ‘Mesut-Magic’ this coming weekend as the Gunners take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
