Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to share their support for winger Trezeguet after his performance in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup fourth round victory over Wolves.
This comes after the Egyptian shared a post on his Twitter delighted with his team’s progression to the next round of the Cup.
Interestingly, the Villans signed him for £8.75 million back in the summer transfer window.
The tweet gathered a lot of replies from happy Villa fans supporting their winger.

Trezeguet has been used on the left and right wing in his 11 club appearances so far this season (per Transfermarkt). But his record as an attacking threat is yet to build much momentum, with the 25-year-old having only managed to secure one assist so far this season, as well as zero goals (per Transfermarkt).
But, his performance in the 2-1 win over Wolves on Wednesday has left some Villa fans confident Trezeguet will get his first goal soon.

What do we think?
In Villa’s last Premier League match, the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, Trezeguet recorded more shots at goal in this game than any other match he has played in for Villa in the Premier League so far this season (per WhoScored). This just goes to show how confident the winger is becoming as a goal-scoring threat, but things just haven’t clicked.
As some Villa fans eluded to, scoring against Liverpool in this weekend’s Premier League clash would be a great way to score his first goal of the season.
