Newcastle United’s tweet gave fans the chance to reminisce over former player Yohan Cabaye’s free-kick against next weeks opponents West Ham United.
Cabaye was a free agent but has recently joined Saint-Etienne. The Frenchman has played for high-profile clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Crystal Palace and obviously Newcastle.
According to an article from The Sun, the Magpies fans had wanted to see the 33-year-old return to St. James’ Park when he was available as a free agent.
The video Newcastle shared is from their 3-1 win against West Ham back in 2014.
Yohan Cabaye netted a brace as Newcastle United defeated @WestHam back in January 2014, with the midfielder scoring this free kick to seal a 3-1 win at Upton Park.

Cabaye has played 48 times for the French senior national team, where he managed to score four times.

What Do We Think?
Newcastle currently sit 17th in the Premier League, having only scored six goals so far this season, which may have left the Magpies fans, potentially, wishing they had someone who can produce moments of magic like this in their squad for the trip to the London Stadium on Saturday.
Hopefully, the Magpies’ current technically gifted player Miguel Almiron was taking note, and can produce something similar should he play next time out – although the Paraguayan has struggled to make an impact at St. James’ Park since his arrival, as he has no goals or assists in his 20 appearances to date.
