Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to respond to posts involving striker Erling Braut Haaland.
Interestingly, the Reds have been linked with an interest in the forward (as per Calciomercato).
The Norwegian striker, who currently plays for Red Bull Salzburg, has already scored 20 goals this season. The youngster even managed to net nine goals in an Under-20 World Cup game against Honduras earlier on this year.
Haaland moved from Molde to Red Bull Salzburg in January of this year (via Transfermarkt) and has been in unbelievable form ever since. The striker was watched by Manchester United recently (as per Nicolo Schira), but some Liverpool fans want to beat their Premier League rivals to his signing. Indeed, the teenager came off the bench to score in Salzburg’s 4-3 defeat by the Reds earlier this month.
And, he recently broke another record, by becoming the first player to score six goals in their first three Champions League games.
Nevertheless, these Liverpool fans believe that their club should try to bring the 19-year-old to Anfield.

And, other Liverpool fans were quick to comment on him potentially joining the Reds, with one supporter even stating that he could possibly be ‘another’ Fernando Torres, who bagged 81 goals in 142 appearances at Anfield.
Hmm, backup for firmino?

Another Torres.

What do we think?
It is difficult to know how Haaland would adapt to the Premier League should he move to Liverpool, but he would certainly offer the Reds a different option off the bench thanks to his strong aerial ability. As much as fans may want them to, Liverpool’s front three won’t last forever and Haaland could be the perfect long-term option as his football career has only just begun and he’s already shown he knows exactly where the back of the net is.
