Whilst Alfredo Morelos will take the title of Man of the Match, the role of Rangers’ Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent in the Colombian’s goal did not go unnoticed.
Kent’s slight flick down the wing and Barisic’s first time cross to Morelos had supporters excited. The overall goal itself looked beautiful, and fans couldn’t make up their mind as to what the best part was.
Goal and cross wis a cracker but what a layoff from kent. Unreal.

The touch to Borna was almost as good as his pass to Alfredo…almost

Some fans focused on the layoff from Kent, while others praised Barisic’s crossing ability. The Croatian attempted eight crosses during the game, one of which being the assist, and another one leading to a great chance to win the match.

But while some fans were contemplating what aspect of the goal’s buildup excited them the most, others were looking further down the line. With a partnership beginning to bloom, supports are hoping the duo can continue to link up for the rest of the season.

Hopefully Borna and Kent can develop that relationship. If they can, could be a special left hand side.

What do we think?
Kent was reintroduced to the team yesterday following his injury, however it is yet to be seen whether not Steven Gerrard will start him against Motherwell this weekend as the Gers return to Scottish Premiership action. If the pair do start on the left for the game, however, we can almost guarantee fans will be happy, especially if they can replicate the performances they put on in Thursday night’s showing against Porto.
