Fans of Everton took to Twitter following Tuesday night’s clash against Watford to spell out their delight over Cenk Tosun’s substitute appearance.
The Turkish striker made a ten-minute cameo for Marco Silva’s side in their 2-0 victory over the Hornets, being substituted on in the 80th minute for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Tosun was introduced to the action with the Toffees just edging out their Premier League opponents, leading 1-0, and with the game heading into injury time, the 28-year-old slid a perfectly weighted through pass to Richarlison to confirm progression to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
With the Goodison Park faithful not having seen their £13.5 million rated man since mid-Septemeber in the 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United (per BBC) – some supporters were pleased to see Tosun’s return.

Cenk Tosun has hardly kicked a ball this season and he’s got two assists in the league cup, don’t understand why he’s not used more in the league

The 28-year-old striker has only made one previous outing for Silva this season, in the aforementioned 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United at Goodison Park.
Having only made a substitute appearance in that tie, according to Sabah the Turkish striker is reportedly growing frustrated with his lack of game time and Euro 2020 on the horizon (via Sportswitness).
With Tosun getting his first minutes for Everton in just over a month, supporters were keen to see more of the 28-year-old going forward.
I hope Tuson gets more game time

What do we think?
Whilst on international duty for Turkey, Tosun has a sturdy average rating of 6.3/10 as opposed to his 5.9/10 in an Everton shirt, showing he can perhaps improve if given the chance (as per Whoscored).
Having also been awarded a 6/10 for his ten-minute performance against Watford (as per Liverpool Echo), coupled with his assist, Tosun has proved he can be relied upon when needed.
